This week a new client mentioned that he was considering a new marketing idea that he had just learned about. He wanted to know if he should embark on it.

I asked if he had checked his Source of Business stats recently. No, was his answer.

Most Realtors have no idea where their business comes from. They remember the last deal, the smallest, the biggest and maybe the hardest. But never the easiest and certainly never the most fun.

In order to run your business you must understand where your business comes from really. If your business is like the data from NAR over 70% comes from repeat/referral. And most agents spend most of their time working cold leads rather than your warm business.
